"Yet to Know: Macau New Woman Contemporary Art Exhibition" brings together eight female artists from Macau to create works centered on the theme of "Woman." The exhibition presents diverse artworks that embody a contemporary sense of freedom, uniqueness, and innovation. Throughout the exhibition period, a series of interactive activities, including guided tours and workshops, will be held to deepen the audience's understanding of the artists and their creations.
The exhibition title, "Yet to Know," is inspired by a line from the classic Tang Dynasty poem The Song of Everlasting Sorrow by Bai Juyi: "As she was raised deep in her boudoir, no one knew her beauty." This phrase originally described the hidden beauty of Yang Yuhuan before she became a famous imperial consort. It has since come to symbolize fresh and beautiful things that have not yet been discovered or recognized by the public. The exhibition uses this concept to explore and showcase the often-unseen perspectives and talents of contemporary women.
