During his studies at Kunitachi College of Music, he won 2nd place in the 1st Japan Wind and Percussion Competition and 1st place in the 4th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. His solo albums include: "Wind and Percussion Solo Masterpieces • Saxophone" (Nippon Columbia, 1991), "Rhapsody" (EMI Music Japan, 1995), "Saxophone Quartet" (EMI Music Japan, 1997), "Gershwin Cocktail" (Kosei Publishing, 2003), and "Morricone's Cinema Paradiso" (EMI Music Japan, 2012). Currently, in addition to being the principal of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and a member of a saxophone quartet, he also serves as a lecturer at Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts and Showa University of Music, actively mentoring new talents.
Born in Hokkaido. Graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts. Selected in the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan New Artist Debut Competition Audition. Advanced to the semi-finals of the 3rd Adolphe Sax International Competition. Participated in the CD recording and national tour of "Joe Hisaishi Asian X・T・C". As a member of the "Masahito Kumoi Saxophone Quartet", he participated in nationwide tours. Participated in the 2012 and 2013 Saito Kinen Festival in Matsumoto. Currently active as a freelance musician, participating in various solo, chamber music, wind ensemble, and orchestral performances. Studied saxophone under Masahito Kumoi. Member of the "Tokyo Wind Orchestra", "Naniwa Symphony Band", and "Ginga Orchestra".
Graduated with special honors from Showa University of Music. Selected as the youngest participant (age 16) for the A.Reed Festival Solo Competition. Selected for the 2nd Tokyo Chamber Music Competition. Won 3rd place in the 16th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. Selected in the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan "New Artist Debut Competition" Audition, among other accolades. Member of "Quartet Spirytus", "Trio Libertad", and "The Wind Wave". In 2003, as a soloist with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, he was featured on the film music album "Symphonic Film Spectacular". Released his first solo CD "Crusing" in 2005, among other CDs. Frequently participates in recordings for commercials, TV dramas, and films. Since 2006, as a registered artist for the Foundation for Regional Creation, he has participated in public venue revitalization projects. Serves as a part-time lecturer at Showa University of Music and Ueno Gakuen University.
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed the university's graduate music program. Studied saxophone under Tohru Nishi, Nobuya Sugawa, Tomoko Ishida, Kazuhiro Ninomiya, and Kazuo Tomioka; studied chamber music under Kinichi Nakamura. Won 1st place in the 4th Young Performers Competition. Won 3rd place in the Saxophone category of the 22nd Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. Received the Excellent Individual Award at the 3rd Blue Polaris Award and the Kagawa Prefecture Cultural Arts Newcomer Award in 2009. Has released multiple CDs including "The Last Country" and "Saxophone Renaissance". Currently serves as the leader of the chamber music group "ANNSANN BUKKAKE Sanuki-za", director of the Itabashi Ward Performers Association, and participates in various performances as a member of "Trio YaS375", "Quatuor B", "Saxofox", "Quintet CIRC", "Saxaccord", "Sherpas", "Knockout Brass", and "SPIEL Chamber Ensemble". Serves as a lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and as a tourism ambassador for Takamatsu City.
