🐲 An internationally acclaimed rising star of the dance world presents her breakthrough work after three years of refinement! 🐉
Presented by the Macao Cultural Centre, Stroke by Xie Xin Dance Theatre is a groundbreaking contemporary dance piece that has garnered international attention. The director of the Finland International Dance Festival even remarked that in Xie Xin, he "saw a future not found in the development of European modern dance."
Xie Xin has performed with almost all of China's most renowned dance companies and has collaborated with numerous internationally acclaimed choreographers, such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, gradually forming her own unique style.
Stroke explores the extremes and infinite possibilities of the human body. Its dance language is imbued with an Eastern aesthetic, elegant and distinctive. The work attempts to deconstruct the shape of a "person," examining the composition of humanity from different layers and focusing on the encounters and near-misses between individuals. A synthesis of beauty, forward-thinking vision, and profound meaning, Stroke invites you to witness the moment a new generation of Chinese contemporary dance shines on the international stage.
This acclaimed production has been invited to major European festivals, including the Stuttgart International Dance Festival in Germany and the Paris Summer Festival.
