Telecommunications Regulation Bureau (DSRT)
Objective
To enhance public awareness of the "WiFi GO" service launched by the Macau SAR Government in September 2010, the DSRT is organizing the "WiFi GO Digital Poster Design Competition". This event encourages Macau residents to create innovative digital posters to further promote the "WiFi GO" service to citizens and tourists.
Eligibility
- Individual participation.
- Must hold a Macau Resident Identity Card.
Theme
Works must be themed around promoting the "WiFi GO" wireless broadband service.
Specifications
- Originality: The work must be an original design.
- Logo: The "WiFi GO" logo is a mandatory element. Its color and shape cannot be altered. The electronic file can be downloaded here: JPEG | PSD.
- Format: The work must include one vertical and one horizontal color digital poster. Design elements (including color, content, style, etc.) must be consistent.
- Resolution:
- Vertical: 1920 pixels (height) x 1080 pixels (width).
- Horizontal: 1080 pixels (height) x 1920 pixels (width).
- Language: Text within the work can be in Traditional Chinese, Portuguese, or English (one or more languages may be chosen).
- Submission Format: Contestants must submit an electronic file in JPEG format (RGB mode, each file not exceeding 10MB). The work must be burned onto a CD/DVD and color-printed on A4 paper (one sheet for each vertical and horizontal poster).
Submission Method
Contestants must submit the CD/DVD containing the work, the A4 color printouts of the work, and the completed competition entry form (downloadable here) to the Telecommunications Regulation Bureau during office hours by the specified deadline.
Awards
- Champion (1): MOP 8,000 and a certificate.
- First Runner-up (1): MOP 5,000 and a certificate.
- Second Runner-up (1): MOP 3,000 and a certificate.
- Excellence Awards (3): MOP 1,000 each.
Event Schedule
- Submission Period: From now until 5:45 PM, April 30, 2014.
- Results Announcement & Award Ceremony: Winners will be notified individually. The award ceremony will be held during the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day celebrations. Results will be published on the DSRT website on the same day.
Judging Panel
A judging panel composed of invited local professionals and representatives from the organizing entity will evaluate the works.
Judging Criteria
Relevance to theme, design expression, and creativity.
