Renowned illustrator Zhou Ruiping (Rae) created lively and vivid illustrations for the book. Rae is a cross-disciplinary creator skilled in writing, drawing, and sculpting. Her work was selected for the 2006 Bologna Illustrators Exhibition. She is the author of several books, including Chestnut Head and the Disappearing Bird, The Song of Lantana, Seeing the Sound of Architecture, I'll Miss You When Summer Comes, and Whose House to Buy Air From.
