Workshop Overview
What's this... this feeling is weird... They say it's a secret, should I share it with an adult?
When a child feels uncomfortable with someone's touch, they might feel 'weird' but not know how to express it. If threatened or bribed, a child might even think it's a secret and that they've done something wrong.
This workshop guides children through a shared reading of the picture book Secret Party and a related craft activity. It helps children explore the protagonist's feelings, learn how to express this 'weird feeling,' and think about who their trusted adults are in daily life.
