Event Overview
To promote the concept of "Inclusion of People with and without Disabilities," deepen public understanding of visually impaired individuals, and raise awareness of the "Barrier-Free City" concept to build an inclusive society, the association held the "Walking with the Visually Impaired" Greater Bay Area Barrier-Free Challenge on December 15, 2019. The event was divided into two categories: the Inclusion Group and the Experience Group.

Event Categories & Format
Inclusion Group
- Registration is individual. Participants will be arranged by the organizer into teams with other persons with disabilities.
- The inclusion competition takes place in a designated space. Participants and visually impaired or other persons with disabilities engage in group games together.
- Through interactive games, the event promotes "Inclusion of People with and without Disabilities," deepens public understanding of visually impaired individuals, and increases awareness of "Barrier-Free Cities."
- Quota: 15 people
Experience Group
- Registration is by team (2 people per team).
- The challenge takes place within a designated area. Teams must plan their own route, visit as many checkpoints as possible within the time limit, and complete the "Barrier-Free" tasks (BFA Tasks) at each checkpoint.
- All checkpoint tasks incorporate "barrier-free" experiential elements, focusing on daily life aspects of clothing, food, housing, and transportation.
- Beyond the competition, the most important goal is for participants to understand the lives of visually impaired people and experience the importance of a "barrier-free" environment.
- Through challenging and experiential tasks, participants are encouraged to understand the lives of visually impaired individuals in diverse ways, thereby better understanding their needs and gradually conveying a positive message of "Inclusion of People with and without Disabilities" to the public.
- Quota: 15 teams (2 people per team)
Prizes & Awards
Experience Group
- Champion (1 team): MOP 500 cash prize
- First Runner-up (1 team): MOP 400 cash prize
- Second Runner-up (1 team): MOP 300 cash prize
Inclusion Group
- The top three winners will receive medals.
- Each participant will receive a MOP 50 voucher.
Note: All participants will receive a exquisite souvenir.
