Program Overview

This training program invites you to learn how to explore the world with curiosity. Journey through Macau and venture out into the world, discovering your unlimited potential alongside experienced volunteers and international peers.

Do you want to break out of Macau and experience foreign cultures in depth? Travel the world and make international friends? Let's become global citizens together!

Program Structure

Complete a series of 4 "Global Citizen Workshops" and an orientation camp.
Get to know yourself, understand the world, and find your teammates.
Form a team to lead volunteers from around the world through the streets of Macau, promoting the city to the world.
The most outstanding team will have the opportunity to participate in an overseas international volunteer camp for free*.

*Countries/Cities include: Sri Lanka, Nepal, Cambodia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong.

May 1 (Mon): "Volunteer ABC" Orientation Camp**
May 6 (Sun) Afternoon: "Finding the Dream Team" Teamwork Workshop**
May 13 (Sun) Afternoon: "Goodwill Communication" Communication Skills Workshop**
May 20 (Sun) Afternoon: "Shared Volunteer Interests" Sharing Session
May 27 (Sun) Afternoon: "Special Citizen" Workshop – Oxfam Disaster Prevention in the Greenhouse**
June 3 (Sun) Afternoon: "Volunteer Imagination" Event Planning Workshop**
June 23 – July 2: Macau International Volunteer Camp – Nezha Festival in the Historic Centre
August – November: "Volunteer Abroad" Overseas Volunteer Camp – Experience a Different World

**Teams with 80% attendance at the orientation camp and 4 workshops, and outstanding performance, will have the opportunity to receive funding for an overseas international volunteer camp (i.e., you can miss at most one session).

Key Information

Quota: 24 individuals aged 18 or above holding a Macau Resident Identity Card.
Fee: MOP 500* (Payable after passing the interview and being selected).
*Full refund will be given if 80% attendance is achieved for the orientation camp and 4 workshops.
Application Deadline: April 19
Interview Dates: April 21–22 (Selection based on applicant's enthusiasm, proactiveness, etc.)
*Registered applicants who complete the interview will receive an additional MOP 500 international volunteer camp discount voucher from the New Youth Association.
