About the Event

In the past, fear and prejudice towards leprosy patients created a barrier between those who have recovered from the disease and the wider society. This event aims to bridge that gap by organizing a visit to a leprosy rehabilitation village.

Objectives

• Allow Macao youth to visit the village and experience local life.
• Understand the current situation of the rehabilitation village and the difficulties faced by its residents.
• Foster interaction between young people and the recovered patients.
• Encourage youth to pay attention to vulnerable groups in society.
• Guide young people to care about social development and foster a sense of social responsibility.
