Overview
The Vienna International Young Musicians Music Competition (IYMMC) 2021 is now open for applications. This prestigious competition provides a platform for young musicians in Macau to showcase their talent, with winners earning the opportunity to compete in the grand finals in Vienna.

Age Groups (as of May 15, 2021)
- I) 4–6 years old
- II) 7–9 years old
- III) 10–12 years old
- IV) 13–15 years old
- V) 16–18 years old
- VI) 19 years old or above (Open Category)
Competition Categories
- A) Piano (Solo, Four Hands)
- B) Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Harp, Guitar)
- C) Wind Instruments (Brass, Woodwind)
- D) Percussion
- E) Chamber Music (Duet, Trio, Quartet, Quintet, Sextet)
- F) Vocal (Classical, Musical Theatre, Folk)
Performance Groups
- Solo, Duet
- Small Group (3–20 members)
- Choir (11–30 members)
Performance Time Limits
- Age Group I (4–6): 3 minutes
- Age Group II (7–9): 3 minutes
- Age Group III (10–12): 4 minutes
- Age Group IV (13–15): 4 minutes
- Age Group V (16–18): 5 minutes
- Open Category (19+): 5 minutes
Awards (Regional Preliminary)
- Champion: 91–99 points (Trophy + Certificate)
- 1st Runner-up: 86–90 points (Trophy + Certificate)
- 2nd Runner-up: 81–85 points (Trophy + Certificate)
- Merit Award: 76–80 points (Crystal Medal + Certificate)
- All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
- Music centers or teachers who recommend students will receive an Active Promotion of Music Award.
- Music schools or teachers of Champion, 1st, and 2nd Runner-up winners will receive an Excellent Music School / Excellent Music Teacher Award.
Vienna Grand Finals
Champion, 1st, and 2nd Runner-up winners from the regional preliminary will be invited to participate in the IYMMC Grand Finals in Vienna at the end of July.
