Purpose

Fugen Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd. is dedicated to promoting the cultural and creative industries and integrating art and design into daily life. This event, the 'Unique Macau' Postcard Design Competition, provides a platform for creators to showcase their innovative ideas. By collecting outstanding works from across the Greater China region, the competition aims to discover new concepts, creativity, and perspectives, deeply integrating art with commerce to experience the vitality of the cultural industry.

Design Theme

• Theme Name: Unique Macau
• Design Concept: Participants are invited to transform their impressions of Macau into images through creativity and design, fully expressing the diversity and uniqueness of the city. Macau is a small tourist city with many moving stories, unique culture, and artistic atmosphere.
  • Participants must use their creativity to clearly express the diversity and characteristics of 'Macau'.
  • Works must align with the 'Unique Macau' theme.
  • Winning works will be applied to creative products, and winners will receive a share of post-sales revenue.

Entry Details

• Eligibility: Open to anyone passionate about design and creation. Participants can enter as individuals or in groups (up to 4 people).
• Entry Fee: Free to enter.
• How to Enter:
  1. Download and complete the entry form from www.flugentart.com.
  2. Submit the original work files by email to [email protected] or by mailing a CD to the submission address.
• Submission Deadline: March 31, 2015 (postmark date).
• Submission Address: Unit A, 8th Floor, Wui Toi Centre, No. 335-341 Avenida de Praia Grande, Macau.
• Work Specifications:
  • Size: Maximum 12cm x 23.5cm, Minimum 9cm x 14cm.
  • Quantity: Each participant/group can submit up to 3 series, with no limit on pieces per series.
  • Format: (1) Design file in .ai format. (2) .jpg or .pdf, 300dpi resolution.

Exhibition

25 finalists (including winners) will be selected. All selected and winning works will be exhibited at the Fugen Gallery.

Judging Process

1. Preliminary Review: Electronic file review by the preliminary judging panel.
2. Final Review: Works passing the preliminary round will be judged by a professional jury.
3. Results Announcement: Results will be published on www.flugentart.com and notified via email.

Awards

• Gold Award (1 winner): MOP 50,000 cash, certificate, post-sales revenue share.
• Silver Award (2 winners): MOP 15,000 cash, certificate, post-sales revenue share.
• Bronze Award (3 winners): MOP 5,000 cash, certificate, post-sales revenue share.
• Merit Award (5 winners): MOP 1,000 cash, certificate, post-sales revenue share.

Timeline

• October 2014: Guidelines released.
• February 1, 2015: Submission period begins.
• March 31, 2015: Submission deadline.
• May 2015: Preliminary results announced.
• June 2015: Winners announced.
• August 2015: Award ceremony and exhibition opening.
