An official selection of the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival.
In 2012, Hong Kong underwent monumental changes. The wave of protests against 'National Education' made 'Scholarism' a household name. From Joshua Wong's viral YouTube declaration to the massive 100,000-person sit-in outside government headquarters, this was a unique, grassroots political movement in Hong Kong's history. British director Matthew Torne, based in Hong Kong, initially set out to film the story of two socially conscious high school students but ended up documenting an unprecedented political movement. The film's lens also reveals that behind the headlines, Joshua Wong and 'Horse' (Ma Wan-ki) are, after all, just ordinary teenagers.
