The event is headlined by Vietnamese-born Cung Le, the former Strikeforce middleweight champion and combat sports legend. He returns to the Octagon™ for the first time since his dominant knockout of Rich Franklin at the Cotai Arena in 2012. After coaching on The Ultimate Fighter China, Le aims to use his impressive arsenal of wrestling, taekwondo, kung fu, and sanshou to claim the title of his generation's most entertaining fighter.
Standing in his way is formidable UFC veteran and The Ultimate Fighter Season 3 champion, Michael Bisping. With an undisputed skill set, Bisping has earned three 'Fight of the Night' bonuses and eight TKO victories in his long UFC career. A win over Cung Le would signal his readiness for another title run in the middleweight division.
Two surging welterweights will clash in Macao. The division's ninth-ranked competitor, Korean-born Dong Hyun 'Stun Gun' Kim, faces the explosive seventh-ranked Hector Lombard. Kim, who recently scored a KO victory over John Hathaway at the Cotai Arena in March, looks to solidify his status as one of the most accomplished Asian fighters in the UFC by defeating the former judo world champion, Lombard.
