Turn 'Cold' into Warmth - Wool Collection Drive
As the weather turns colder, the Fu Hong Society's Pou Lei Centre is launching the "Turn 'Cold' into Warmth - Wool Collection Drive" from now on. The initiative aims to collect unused or excess new wool yarn from the public.
How It Works:
- Collected wool will be re-knitted by persons with disabilities into unique, handmade scarves.
- This process embodies a spirit of mutual support and empowerment.
- Each scarf is handcrafted stitch by stitch.
Purpose & Impact:
- The handmade scarves will be sold in the winter.
- All proceeds will go towards trainee subsidies for the participants.
- The project aims to send blessings of love during the cold winter.
- It enables persons with disabilities to contribute to society through their own efforts, offering warmth and care—truly "providing charcoal in snowy weather."
