Objectives
- To create a platform for youth participation in promoting traffic safety in Macao.
- To enhance public awareness of traffic safety, encouraging everyone to consciously obey the law and travel courteously, jointly fostering a harmonious and polite traffic environment.
- To encourage youth to unleash their creativity, imagination, and team spirit, and to care about social affairs.
Target Participants
Teams from local associations, schools, or interested youth are welcome to participate. Each team must have 4 to 7 members, and participants must be Macao residents aged between 13 and 29. (Participants under 18 require parental or guardian consent).
Competition Format
The competition consists of two stages: Preliminary and Final.
1. Preliminary Round
Participating teams must submit a "Booth Game Design Proposal" to design a booth game for the "Traffic Safety Carnival." The game format is unrestricted, but the content must clearly convey correct traffic behavior messages, be creative, have positive significance, and align with the competition theme.
Judging Criteria:
- a. Relevance to the activity theme (25%)
- b. Feasibility of the plan (25%)
- c. Positive significance of the game (20%)
- d. Fun factor of the game (15%)
- e. Creativity of the game (15%)
Teams selected for the final round will be announced by the organizers and notified by phone and email in early October.
2. Final Round
Finalist teams must participate in the "Traffic Safety Carnival" held at Tap Seac Square on the afternoon of Sunday, October 20. They are required to produce booth game props according to their proposal, wear uniforms provided by the organizers, and be responsible for hosting their booth game. Judging and the award ceremony will take place on the day of the carnival.
Key Rules & Information
- Each participant can only be a member of one team.
- The booth game must comply with the theme set by the organizers.
- Teams must design their booth based on equipment provided by the organizers: one booth hut (2.44m x 2.03m x 2.69m L x H x W) and one long table.
- Finalist teams must report to the organizers by 1:30 PM on the carnival day and send at least 4 team members to set up and host the game. Only team members are allowed to assist, and they must wear the provided uniforms.
- The organizers will sponsor each finalist team MOP 2,500.00 to cover game production and other necessary expenses.
- Teams withdrawing midway must refund the remaining balance to the organizers.
- The organizers will prepare gifts for the booth games.
- Teams are liable for any damage or soiling of equipment provided by the organizers.
- Designs must not infringe on others' copyrights.
- Submitted proposals will not be returned.
- All copyrights of entries and booth props belong to the organizers, who reserve the right to use the works in any form.
- The organizers reserve the right to modify the rules and have the final say on competition results.
Proposal Content Requirements
Each team must submit a completed application form and a proposal including:
- Team name (representing school/association, or a name approved by the organizers).
- Booth game name, objectives, and features.
- Design concept and layout.
- Game format, rules, and estimated time per game (recommended under 60 seconds).
- Detailed budget breakdown.
