How do everyday objects become essential tools for theatre professionals?
Tools don't speak, but backstage workers converse with them daily. During the long working hours, these objects accompany them as they slowly build a world behind the scenes from scratch.
This exhibition showcases their hands, their objects, their working environment, and connects the stories of those working silently offstage. You will see the brilliance on stage and the professionalism behind it.
The Stage Management and Technical Association (SMTA), together with local theatre practitioners, puts the ubiquitous tools of the theatre in the spotlight. Through introductions by their users, the exhibition invites the audience to appreciate these objects from a new perspective and step into the working world of theatre.
