Overview
Dream Child Alliance presents the "Tongle Cup" 2024 Pop Song Singing Competition, aiming to provide a stage for students who love singing to express themselves and exchange ideas. The event seeks to discover students' musical potential, cultivate their diverse interests, and encourage them to bravely pursue their dreams, perform to their fullest, and sing their hearts out!
Event Details
- Target Participants: Macau students aged 11–17.
- Participation Format: Participate as an individual or a duo. Duplicate participation is not allowed.
- Song Selection: Songs should be themed around inspiration, youth, or dream-chasing. Participants can perform popular songs in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English.
Online Registration Process
- Visit the official website of "Dream Child Alliance" and click on the event page to fill out the registration form (https://cda.org.mo/).
- Upload and submit a self-recorded a cappella video of your chosen song (total duration not exceeding 2 minutes).
Video Requirements:
- Part 1 (Introduction): Must include the names of all participants, the song title, and the original singer's name. Duration should not exceed 30 seconds.
- Part 2 (Performance): A cappella performance of the chosen song segment. The participant's face must be clearly visible, and the video must be one continuous shot without editing. Audio must be recorded live with no post-processing. Duration should be approximately 90 seconds.
- Technical Specs: Resolution of 720p (1280×720) or higher, file size not exceeding 50MB, in MP4 format.
- File Naming: Please name the file as "Tongle Cup 2024 – Pop Song Singing Competition (Participant Unit Name)".
Competition Schedule
- Registration Period: June 1, 2024 – July 15, 2024, 23:59 (based on official email receipt time).
- Finalist Selection: After preliminary screening by professional judges based on the submitted a cappella videos, the top 10 units will be selected to advance to the finals (must be the original participating unit).
- Finalist Announcement: The list of finalists will be announced on or before July 31, 2024. Details regarding the finals will be communicated directly to the finalists.
- Finals Date: August 25, 2024
- Finals Venue: Grand Stage, Kwok Wah Theatre
- Finals Performance Duration: Each unit's performance is limited to a maximum of 4 minutes.
Judging Criteria for Finals
Professional judges will evaluate based on two main categories:
- Singing Ability: Vocal technique, tone, pitch, and rhythm.
- Overall Performance: Emotional expression and personal style.
Awards
- Gold Award (1 winner): MOP 3,000 cash prize and a trophy.
- Silver Award (1 winner): MOP 2,000 cash prize and a trophy.
- Bronze Award (1 winner): MOP 1,000 cash prize and a trophy.
- Merit Award (7 winners): MOP 500 cash prize and a trophy.
- Best Stage Presence Award: MOP 300 cash prize and a trophy.
- Most Popular Award: MOP 300 cash prize and a trophy.
