Event Background

Since 2009, the New Youth Association has clearly identified career planning as a key direction for its development, consistently dedicated to promoting the concept and knowledge of career planning in Macao. The first Cross-Strait Four Regions Career Planning Forum was held in 2013, themed "The Current State and Development of Career Planning Education and Services in the Four Regions." The second forum followed in 2014, themed "Personal Career Planning and Social Development." Both editions received guidance from numerous professors, experts, and scholars from relevant institutions across the four regions, providing significant inspiration for Macao's career planning education efforts.

To sustain the social attention and positive educational impact generated by the forum, and to further enhance the social influence of the "Youth Career Expo," this year's event will incorporate a forum segment as the expo marks its 10th anniversary. The theme "Personal Employment Motivation and Social Development" will explore the employment and career choices of youth across the four regions, facilitate experience exchange in career planning education, introduce new perspectives for talent cultivation in Macao, and promote greater societal attention to youth career planning education.

• Guest Speakers: Representatives from the education and social service sectors across the four regions (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao)

Event Content

The event is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session features the main forum, where scholars from the four regions will share insights on career challenges faced by youth during employment or career selection and discuss how social development influences employment. This exchange of experiences and opinions aims to foster a deeper understanding of youth career planning development across the regions.

The afternoon session will consist of lecture workshops hosted by scholars from the four regions. These workshops will offer various themes related to career planning for Macao youth and interested participants. Through these lectures and workshops, Macao youth will gain a better understanding of career planning concepts, strengthen their personal career planning, develop more proactive and well-rounded lives, and contribute positively to Macao society.
