This play tells the story of a mother and daughter. On an ordinary night, the daughter suddenly announces her intention to end her own life. The mother, who has always tried her best to love and care for her daughter, cannot understand why she wants to commit suicide. She tries every possible way to dissuade her and desperately searches for the root cause—is it a failed marriage, health issues, or something else? The daughter believes that life has never been within her control, the future will not change, and the only thing truly belonging to her is her own life, thus she decides to take this irreversible path. Can the mother turn the tide in the end? What deeper topics does the story bring out? The audience is invited to find the answers.
