"Theatre's 2014 Fightclub" is an international theatre festival and workshop series themed around "Performance Subculture." Organized by the Macau Experimental Theatre and co-organized by Own Theatre, the event brings together artists from Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea for four weeks of performances and activities. The festival aims to foster cultural exchange and a deeper understanding of diverse theatrical traditions and performing arts.
The concept of "Theatre's Fightclub" is to place different theatrical spirits—each with unique regional, cultural, and aesthetic characteristics—within the same space. Through performances and workshops, artists and works with distinct "aesthetic spirits" and "cultural visions" engage in a creative clash and connection within the theatre.
