Performance
Dream Theater Association presents "Classic Scripts, Contemporary Interpretations" in February.
A classic work by the famous French playwright Jean Genet, The Maids tells the story of two maids who, while their mistress is away, engage in a twisted role-playing game. Mirroring each other and donning lavish attire, they become each other, they become her. In their madness, they vent their resentment towards society and lay bare the darkness and ugliness of human nature. Vanity and jealousy consume them, as if only by stepping towards death can their souls truly live.
