After a collaboration spanning two decades, the Macao Museum of Art and the Palace Museum in Beijing are putting together in Macao an exhibition series under the theme “The Long Journey”. The first showcase of the series – “The Long Journey: A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains 3.0” – is on display on the 2nd-floor gallery of the Macao Museum of Art.
This exhibition is a digital interactive interpretation of “A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains”, an early 12th-century masterpiece by Wang Ximeng, a famous Chinese painter during the Song Dynasty. The work is considered one of the top-10 Chinese paintings as measured by popular opinion.
The second exhibition of “The Long Journey” series – “The Forbidden City and Maritime Silk Road” – will run from January 11, 2020 until March 14, 2020.
