The Isle: In Love's Waves
When a man and a woman meet on a remote island, past and present overlap while they ponder their fate. As they ask the question "Do we stay or leave?" a romantic battle of wills unfolds, leading to a surprising and dramatic finale.
The Isle is a new interpretation of an acclaimed play by Hong Kong's leading playwright Paul Poon (Pan Huisen), a five-time winner of the Best Script award at the Hong Kong Drama Awards. Touched with pathos and wit, Poon's play is a compassionate yet skeptical take on enduring love.
Known for its cross-cultural heritage and bilingual productions, Theatre du Pif merges movement, text, and images to create powerful yet poetic performances. The company returns to Macao to stage The Isle, bringing the audience a romantic and meaningful evening.
