Synopsis
In a time when everyone avoided speaking the truth, white terror breaks out in school when Marika, a high school student, exposes the system in a text she wrote for her final examination. What if her colleagues, teachers, headmaster, and parents were all bending the rules? Marika’s answer didn’t spare anyone. If she had another chance to rewrite it, would the conclusion be the same?
About the Play
This dark script, translated from a controversial piece originally written in the 1970s, is dubbed one of the Russian "Education Trilogy." It offers a sharp critique of contemporary education, touching on social, family, and personal growth issues.
