Temple Adventures: Exploring Chinese Traditional Festivals
To promote the festival culture of Macao's Chinese temples, the "Chinese Temple Community Tourism Project – Temple Adventures" encourages independent travelers to explore local communities and experience Macao.
Key Information
- Activity Period: August 1 – November 30, 2014
- Format: A self-guided tour activity across 23 participating temples.
- How to Participate: Visitors can obtain a free guidebook (in Chinese) from Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) information counters and each participating temple.
- Guidebook Contents: Includes brief introductions and map addresses for numerous Chinese temples in Macao, divided into five suggested routes:
- Macau San Kio Route
- Macau Central District Route
- Taipa Old Town Route
- Coloane Town Centre Route
- Ká-Hó Route
- Stamp Collection: Each participating temple has its own unique stamp. Collect stamps in your guidebook.
- Reward: Collect stamps from three different temples to redeem a special souvenir at the designated exchange counter.
