Event Overview

A short video competition organized to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the 74th anniversary of the Macao Women's General Association.

The event aligns with the spirit of promoting family values and traditions as advocated by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. It aims to collectively articulate the essence of the 20th National Congress, share the story of Macao, and welcome the 75th birthday of the nation and the 25th anniversary of Macao's return.

The competition will be conducted both online and offline. An online platform will be set up for video submission and judging, with promotional broadcasts on the Women's Association's online channels. An offline awards ceremony will be held to honor the winners.

Event Details and Process

• Submission Period: May 15 to June 30, 2024.
• Eligibility: All Macao residents. Entries can be submitted by individuals or groups (maximum 3 people per group). Participants cannot enter both as an individual and as part of a group. Employees of the organizing association and their family members are not eligible.
• Submission Content:
  • Create a short video based on the themes "Tell the Story of the 20th National Congress" and "Celebrate the Double Anniversary."
  • Videos should express how to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress, promote traditional Chinese virtues, strengthen family education and values, lead high-quality development to advance Chinese modernization, comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and tell the successful story of Macao's "One Country, Two Systems" practice.
  • Content can include but is not limited to: blessings, short stories, creative skits, experience sharing, and discussions on social issues.
  • Video length must be between 20 seconds and 2 minutes, and can be narrated in Cantonese or Mandarin.
  • All submissions must be original, must not infringe on others' copyrights, must actively spread positive energy, and must not contain content related to pornography, violence, discrimination, politics, indecency, defamation, or insults. Advertisements are not allowed.
  • Format: MOV or MP4. Resolution must be 1280 x 720 or higher (16:9 or 9:16 aspect ratio).
• Judging Criteria:
  • Theme Presentation (30 points): Clarity in presenting the theme, focusing on the "20th National Congress" and "Celebrating the Double Anniversary."
  • Creativity and Storytelling (25 points): Creativity and narrative of the video, evoking emotional resonance.
  • Emotional Delivery (20 points): Authentic conveyance of emotion, resonating with the audience.
  • Overall Impression (15 points): Lasting impression left on the audience.
  • Production Quality and Technique (10 points): Proficiency and smoothness in shooting, editing, sound, and visual effects.
• Submission Method: Participants must upload their short videos to the designated platform and fill in relevant personal information for contact and identification.
• Judging and Awards:
  • A judging panel will score entries based on creativity, expressiveness, artistry, and attention to the 20th National Congress and national development.
  • Results will be announced on July 15, 2024 (15 days after the submission period ends). Winners will be notified personally.
  • Awards:
    • First Prize (1 winner): Certificate and MOP 10,000.
    • Second Prize (1 winner): Certificate and MOP 5,000.
    • Third Prize (1 winner): Certificate and MOP 3,000.
    • Best Storytelling Award (1 winner): Certificate and MOP 2,000.
    • Best Creativity Award (1 winner): Certificate and MOP 2,000.
    • Best Patriotism and Love for Macao Award (1 winner): Certificate and MOP 2,000.
• Promotion of Winning Works: Winning entries may be promoted and displayed on relevant media and official platforms. The organizer may collaborate with winners for further promotional projects.
• Personal Data Collection Statement: Collected data will be used solely for this event, in compliance with Macao's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 8/2005).
• Other Terms: The organizer reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions, suspend, or terminate the event without prior notice and without liability.
