Pak Tai, also called the 'Supreme Emperor of the North', is a water deity who takes charge of the North. In the past, most Taipa residents were fishermen, so they revered Pak Tai and honored him with a temple. The Taipa Pak Tai Temple is the only temple in Macau dedicated to Pak Tai. The community continues to celebrate his birthday with a series of festive activities.
During the celebration period, there will also be folk craft demonstrations such as paper-cutting, sugar painting, and nut carving, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere throughout Taipa.
