A grand symphonic poem dedicated to the life and legacy of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, receiving its premiere performance in Macao. This major cultural production is one of the 2019 Key Projects for Cultural and Tourism Exchanges between Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, as designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China.

About the Work

Created in 2011, the symphonic poem narrates the growth story of Dr. Sun Yat-sen through a powerful combination of choir, soloists, and a full symphony orchestra.

Significance

This special performance commemorates the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China. It brings together nearly 200 performers to fuse music, stagecraft, and literature, aiming to promote the Chinese spirit through cultural arts in Macao and foster a deeper understanding of Sun Yat-sen culture.
