Overview

The Summer Music Festival 2013 is a vibrant youth event held at Hac Sa Beach, featuring a music festival, a sandcastle competition, and a dodgeball tournament. The event aims to provide a platform for Macau's youth to showcase their talents, encourage outdoor activities, and foster creativity and teamwork.

Activities

Music Festival

• Purpose: To provide a platform for talented young people to perform.
• Performance Time: Registration at 15:30, performances from 16:00 to 19:30.
• Location: Hac Sa Beach Basketball Court.
• Format: Band performances (max 6 members per band). Each band gets 15 minutes (including setup), suggested max of 3 songs fitting a summer theme.
• Registration Fee: Free. Selected performing bands receive 6 BBQ dinner vouchers.
• Equipment Provided: Two guitar amps, one bass amp, a drum kit, and a keyboard amp. Bands must bring their own instruments.
• Registration Deadline: June 15, 2013.

"Build Your Dream" Sandcastle Competition

• Purpose: To deepen youth understanding of sand activities and encourage outdoor participation, enhancing concepts of design and sport.
• Theme: "Dream"
• Competition Time: Registration at 13:30, ends at 16:00.
• Location: Hac Sa Beach.
• Team Size: 4-6 people per team (at least 4 must be students).
• Prizes: Champion - MOP 1000 sports voucher + 6 medals; 1st Runner-up - MOP 800 voucher + 6 medals; 2nd Runner-up - MOP 500 voucher + 6 medals.
• Registration Fee: MOP 100 per team (includes 6 BBQ dinner vouchers).
• Registration Deadline: June 15, 2013.

Dodgeball Competition

• Purpose: To add innovative sports elements to the festival, encouraging youth to exercise outdoors and learn teamwork.
• Competition Time: Registration at 13:30, ends at 16:00.
• Location: Hac Sa Beach Volleyball Court.
• Team Size: 6-8 people per team (6 starters, 2 substitutes, at least 4 must be students).
• Format: Random pairings for an elimination tournament.
• Prizes: Champion - MOP 1000 sports voucher + 8 medals; 1st Runner-up - MOP 800 voucher + 8 medals; 2nd Runner-up - MOP 500 voucher + 8 medals.
• Registration Fee: MOP 120 per team (includes 8 BBQ dinner vouchers).
• Registration Deadline: June 15, 2013.

• Target Participants: Students from Primary 5 up to university level.
