Registration Arrangement for Subsidized Childcare Centres

Subsidized childcare centres in Macau will accept applications from March to April this year, with the lottery, announcement of results, and enrolment registration procedures taking place from May to June.

Anti-Epidemic Measures

In response to epidemic prevention needs, the Social Welfare Bureau has coordinated with all subsidized childcare centres in Macau to implement appropriate measures to facilitate parental applications and reduce crowd gatherings. Parents can complete the application procedures without entering the childcare centres before May.

Regarding the lottery and enrolment registration procedures starting in May, the Social Welfare Bureau will, depending on the development of the epidemic situation, coordinate with subsidized childcare centres to implement arrangements such as staggered registration to reduce crowd gatherings.

Important Reminders

• Eligibility: Parents of children born in 2018 or later who need to apply for subsidized childcare services should note that there is no limit to the number of subsidized childcare centres a child can apply to. However, after being admitted, the child can only choose to register at one subsidized childcare centre.
• Transfer Procedure: Children wishing to transfer must complete the withdrawal procedures at their originally registered or attending childcare centre before they can proceed with enrolment registration at another centre.
