About the Competition
Macao Music Power, in collaboration with Mannerla and PCCA Cultural & Creative Development Limited, is launching the "Stories of My City" Musical Second Creation Competition. This initiative aims to promote local creativity and broaden the platform for musical exchange.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, you are invited to use "My City Memory" as a theme. Reinterpret the songs from the "Stories of My City" musical through your voice, rearrange the music, rewrite the lyrics, or even create a unique music video (MV). You can even combine all these elements to fully unleash your creative potential!
How to Participate
- Choose a Song: Select any song from the "Stories of My City" musical for your "second creation."
- Download Materials: The backing tracks (MMO) and lyrics are available for download on the competition webpage: http://storiesofmycity.wix.com/site#!music/cee5.
- Submit Your Work: Publish your creation on the "Stories of My City" Musical Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/527280964041368/.
- Important: You must clearly label your post as: "Stories of My City Musical Second Creation Work (Song Title / Your Name)."
Competition Details & Rules
- Song Title & Name: The song title in your submission can be the original title or a new one you create. You may use your real name or an alias, but you must provide your real name when registering your entry.
- Confirmation: After uploading your work, we will contact you via Facebook to confirm your participation details. If you are not contacted within three days of posting, please email us at [email protected] with the subject line: "Stories of My City Musical Second Creation Competition."
- Copyright: By uploading your work to Macao Music Power's Facebook and related pages, you agree that Macao Music Power may edit, distribute, broadcast, reproduce, or use your work for other related promotional purposes without copyright restrictions.
- Judging Criteria: The musical production team of "Stories of My City" will select four outstanding works based on the following criteria:
- Best alignment with the theme.
- Most creative.
- Best overall performance.
- Most popular online.
- Prizes: Each selected winner will receive a cash prize and awards totaling approximately MOP 1,000. Additionally, winners will have the opportunity to have their work showcased to a wider audience through Macao Music Power's platform and potentially on the "Stories of My City" musical album.
- Multiple Entries: Participants may submit more than one work, but an individual can only win one prize.
- Submission Deadline: December 28, 2014.
