According to the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, a total lunar eclipse will occur in the Macau sky on the evening of November 8. The moon will present an uncommon copper-red color. The entire eclipse process will last about three and a half hours. If you miss this one, you'll have to wait about three years until September 8, 2025, to see a 'total lunar eclipse' in Macau again.
As one of the best locations to view the total lunar eclipse, our museum will host the 'Total Lunar Eclipse Observation' activity tomorrow. Three telescopes of different sizes will be set up for public use, including a 20-inch Newtonian reflector telescope, a 14-inch reflector telescope, and a 9.25-inch catadioptric telescope. Staff will be on-site to guide participants in operating the telescopes and explain astronomical knowledge related to the total lunar eclipse.
