Taiwanese rock, folk, pop, and indie band Sodagreen will welcome 2013 with their Macau fans, bringing their latest tour concert, 'Sodagreen: When We Walk Together Tour Macau Station', to the Cotai Arena at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel on January 5, 2013.
About Sodagreen
- Formed in 2001, Sodagreen quickly won their first music award in May of the same year, taking home the "Best Popularity Award" in the band category at the 18th Golden Melody Awards held by National Chengchi University.
- In April 2002, they participated again and swept four major awards: Band Champion, Creative Champion, Best Lyrics, and Best Composition.
- The current six band members are: Wu Qingfeng (vocals), Xie Xinyi (bassist), Shi Junwei (drummer), He Jingyang (acoustic guitarist), Liu Jiakai (electric guitarist), and Gong Yuqi (keyboardist, violist).
- Over the years, they have steadily expanded their fanbase across the region with their distinctive indie music style.
- In 2007, at the 18th Golden Melody Awards, Sodagreen won the "Best Band Award," cementing their status as a vital part of the Taiwanese music scene.
- In November of the same year, they held their first solo concert, "Peerless Beauty," at the Taipei Arena, singing for 5 hours straight and setting a new record for the venue. They were also the first independent music artist to hold a concert there.
