Overview
A creative short film competition for Macao's secondary and university students, aiming to promote a smoke-free lifestyle and healthy living. Participants are encouraged to use their creativity to convey anti-smoking messages through various formats like advertisements or dramas.
Key Details
- Theme: Smoke-Free Macao Through the Lens (Reflecting Macao's reality after tobacco control and promoting awareness of the harms of tobacco).
- Eligibility: All secondary school and university students in Macao.
- Submission Period: May 9 to July 15, 2014.
- Entry Fee: Free to enter.
Submission Guidelines
- Teams can consist of 1 to 6 students.
- Films must be uploaded to YouTube and set to "Public."
- The YouTube video title must follow this format: 鏡頭下的無煙澳門短片拍攝比賽－作品名稱（隊名）.
- The video description must include a Chinese introduction of at least 50 words.
- The video URL must be submitted via the online registration form on the organizer's website (http://www.shlam.org.mo/).
- A physical copy of the work on a CD must also be submitted in person or by mail to the organizer's office.
- Each team can only submit one entry.
Selection & Judging Process
- All entries will be uploaded to a public voting page on the organizer's website.
- The top ten entries will be selected based on combined votes from the public (60%) and the judging panel (40%).
- The final winners will be determined by the judging panel's evaluation of the top ten entries.
Judging Criteria
- Relevance to Theme: 40%
- Expression of Theme: 25%
- Creativity: 15%
- Actor Performance: 10%
- Editing: 10%
Prizes
- Champion: MOP 10,000 cash and a trophy. The winning entry may be professionally reproduced and broadcast on public media.
- 1st Runner-up: MOP 5,000 cash and a trophy.
- 2nd Runner-up: MOP 3,000 cash and a trophy.
- 3rd Runner-up: MOP 1,500 cash and a trophy.
- Special Awards (Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, Best Actress): MOP 1,000 cash and an award plaque each.
Awards Ceremony
Finalists (top ten) must attend the awards ceremony in formal attire. Winners will be announced live. The judging panel will provide on-site critiques and share filmmaking tips.
Important Notes
- All copyrights of submitted works belong to the organizer.
- Filming in public places or including passers-by requires prior permission.
- Works containing obscene or indecent content will be rejected.
- The organizer is not liable for any third-party damages or litigation arising from the entries.
