2017 Community Arts Project: Small Town Stories - Memories of Three Lamps

The "Three Lamps" area has developed from a gathering place for Burmese Chinese, Southeast Asians, and local residents into a distinctive neighborhood with a Southeast Asian character. This workshop aims to use community cultural arts education to help teenagers understand their surroundings and the meaning behind them.

Workshop Details

• Workshop Dates: July 8, 9, 15, 16, 2017 (Saturdays & Sundays)
• Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Venue: Unit F, 4th Floor, Leong Heng Knitting Factory, Rua de Francisco Xavier Pereira, Macao
• Age Group: 10-14 years old
• Class Size: 5 participants
• Registration Fee: MOP 500 (includes creative materials)
• Final Output: Participant works will be showcased as part of the exhibition in late August 2017.

Workshop Activities

Participants will be guided to observe the community, find interesting stories to document, and collaboratively create and photograph scenes. The goal is to foster a sense of belonging, community awareness, and appreciation for diverse cultures.
