Overview
Shrek The Musical makes its debut in Macau this summer as part of its first-ever global tour. This Broadway musical, introduced to Macau by Sands China Ltd., is based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film. The production features a book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Olivier Award winner Jeanine Tesori.
Story
The musical brings the beloved story of Shrek to the stage. In a faraway kingdom, a hideous ogre rescues a lively and beautiful princess. When the hero is no longer the handsome prince of traditional fairy tales, the plot takes a wonderfully twisted and unexpected turn. The show features a colorful cast of characters, including a talking donkey, a grumpy villain, a sassy Gingerbread Man, and a host of misfit fairy-tale creatures.
