Objective
Macao Post organizes this design competition to encourage participants to demonstrate unlimited creativity in designing a mascot that embodies the functions and high-tech professional image of the 'Secure Electronic Postal Box – SEPBox'. The main function of SEPBox is to enable recipients to securely receive government notifications, Postal Registered electronic Mail, electronic bills, and eDirect Mail, avoiding junk mail and viruses. Winning entries may be selected by Macao Post to be produced as SEPBox ambassadors or promotional materials.
Design Theme
Design a mascot image based on the functions and professional service of the 'Secure Electronic Postal Box – SEPBox'.
Competition Groups & Eligibility
- General Group: Macao residents aged 18 or above (born on or before August 18, 1997) can register individually.
- Secondary Group: Local secondary school students with a valid Macao ID card and student card issued by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, registering individually.
Awards
General Group
- Champion: MOP 8,000 cash prize and certificate
- 1st Runner-up: MOP 5,000 cash prize and certificate
- 2nd Runner-up: MOP 3,000 cash prize and certificate
Secondary Group
- Champion: MOP 5,000 cash prize and certificate
- 1st Runner-up: MOP 3,000 cash prize and certificate
- 2nd Runner-up: MOP 2,000 cash prize and certificate
Judging Criteria
Entries will be assessed based on theme rendition, creativity, aesthetics, and product development feasibility.
Entry Requirements
- Design must be on a 26cm x 18cm (horizontal or vertical) white paper.
- The front view of the mascot must be mounted centrally on an A4-sized (29.7cm x 21cm) black cardboard.
- Completed label L1 (provided with the application form) must be affixed to the upper left corner on the back of the cardboard.
- Provide the mascot's name and a brief concept description (max 200 words in Chinese, Portuguese, or English) pasted on the back.
- For computer designs, include a soft copy in AI or JPEG format (min 300 dpi) on a CD or DVD.
- Materials and colors are unrestricted, but three-dimensional works are not accepted.

Competition Rules
- Each participant may submit only one original, unpublished work.
- Participants are responsible for any intellectual property rights.
- The jury, invited by Macao Post, has the final decision.
- Staff of Macao Post and their family members are not eligible.
- Macao Post holds the copyright and usage rights of winning entries.
Announcement of Results
Results will be announced on the Macao Post website (http://seps.macaupost.gov.mo). Winners will be notified individually by post.
