Adapted from the famous Canadian playwright Bernard Slade's situational comedy "Same Time, Next Year".
Who says an affair is only about the 'affair' and not the 'feeling'? A married man and a married woman meet once a year at a hotel on the corner of Rua da Felicidade for a secret rendezvous. From their first passionate encounter, they make a pact to meet at the same time and place every year without fail—a promise that astonishingly lasts for twenty-five years!
From their prime to old age, for twenty-five years, they faithfully keep their annual appointment, escaping life's troubles to spend one night together. Their nights of passion are not just about physical intimacy but also a solace for the soul. The burdens of life require a listener from outside their daily existence. They talk about everything, support each other, weather storms together, and navigate the changes of an era. They even understand each other better than their own spouses, despite their total time together amounting to less than a month.
This is the story of the most enduring affair, spanning from 1974 to 1999, from before the first Macau-Taipa Bridge was built to when three bridges were open simultaneously. On the eve of the handover, can their love finally find its place?
