Respecting others and loving oneself is a crucial topic within children's sex education. When children learn from a young age to respect others and care for their own bodies, it helps reduce the risk of them becoming either perpetrators or victims of sexual harassment and assault. Parents play a vital role in every stage of their child's development. Proactively teaching children about their bodies and discussing sex education helps them build a healthy self-attitude and understanding of gender relationships.
Jointly organized by the Little Things Parent-Child Education Association, the Macau Diocese Performing Arts Association, and the Macau Cardinal Newman Arts and Culture Centre, the "Respect You, Protect Me – Children's Body Autonomy Interactive Game Exhibition" uses diverse formats such as interactive games, parent-child picture book reading sessions, and thematic lectures. It aims to help children understand how to respect others and protect themselves, while also dispelling parents' misconceptions about children's sex education, assisting them in guiding their children to learn the theme of "Respect You, Protect Me."
