Recruitment: Senior Citizens Drama Project – Sharing Life Stories Through Theatre
Cardinal Newman Hall – Macau Cultural Centre, in collaboration with Master of Fine Arts in Drama students from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, is launching the "Senior Citizens Drama Art Project." The project will run from November 2023 to March 2024 and includes workshops, interviews, rehearsals, culminating in a final performance.
The project aims to provide seniors with an experience in theatre, encouraging them to express themselves, share personal stories, and reflect on their life experiences. This initiative seeks to promote social interaction, mental and physical well-being, expand social circles, and help develop diverse interests during retirement.

Project Stages
Phase 1: Experience Workshop & Project Briefing
- Dates: November 17 or November 18, 2023
- Time: 9:00–11:00
- Location: Cardinal Newman Hall – Macau Cultural Centre
- Notes:
- No prior drama experience is required.
- Participants can register for the experience workshop first and decide whether to join the full performance project after the briefing.
Phase 2: Interviews & Rehearsals
- Rehearsal Period: November 2023 – March 2024
Phase 3: Performance
- Performance Date: Second half of 2024
