A special lecture on science fiction literature, "Reading the Beauty of Sci-Fi," will be held to celebrate World Book Day. The event aims to encourage public participation in science popularization reading and enhance the scientific and cultural literacy of all citizens.
Two award-winning young science fiction writers from Mainland China, Li Yiqian and Ningmeng Yuyan, will be invited to Macau to share their creative experiences and perspectives on the future. Their sessions will explore how sci-fi literature blends scientific elements with humanistic reflection, posing questions about the future while prompting reflection on the present.

The event will include a book signing session. Readers are welcome to bring the speakers' works to participate.
This is the third consecutive year (2023, 2024, 2025) that the China Writers Association and the Macao Science Centre have collaborated to host this lecture in Macau for World Book Day. It has previously received enthusiastic responses from youths across various sectors.
The lecture series is endorsed by renowned sci-fi literature masters Liu Cixin, Han Song, and Chen Qiufan. Previous speakers have included new-generation writers Tianrui Shuofu, Cheng Jingbo, Feijia, and Yuantong.
