Event Overview
A series of interactive parent-child reading sessions designed to foster a love for books and family bonding through fun activities.
Key Details
- Dates: September 5 – November 21, 2018
- Venues: Macao Central Library / Sir Robert Ho Tung Library / Wong Ieng Kuan Children's Library in Hac Sa Van Park
- Target Participants: Children aged 4 to 7 and their parents (1 child + 1 parent per pair)
- Language: Cantonese / English (English sessions will be explained in both Cantonese and English)
- Capacity: 12 parent-child pairs per session
- Format: Singing, picture book storytelling, games, and handicrafts
- Admission: Free
Registration & Selection
- Registration Method: Online application via the provided link.
- Selection Process: By lottery. Results will be announced on the Macao Public Library website and Facebook page. Successful applicants will receive an SMS confirmation.

- Participation Limit: Due to limited capacity, each successful applicant may only attend one session per story theme.
Important Notes
- Participants are advised to wear casual clothing; avoid wearing short skirts, etc.
- This activity is included in the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau's "100% Parent Reward Program".
- Cancellation Policy: Please notify library staff at least 2 days in advance if unable to attend. Unjustified absences twice will result in a 3-month suspension from activities.
- Punctuality: Participants arriving 10 minutes or more late will automatically forfeit their right to join that session.
- Photography & Recording: The Cultural Affairs Bureau staff may photograph or record the event for archival and evaluation purposes. Some images may be used for future promotion of similar events without further notice.
- Bad Weather Arrangements:
- If a rainstorm warning signal or Typhoon Signal No. 3 is hoisted 3 hours before the event, all outdoor activities are cancelled. All indoor activities proceed as usual.
- If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, all activities are cancelled.
