Put Out the Flame is a collaborative dance theatre piece that explores the emotional distance within a couple's life. It examines how physical proximity can paradoxically reveal a profound inability to connect.
The work invites the audience into the intimate yet distant world of a married couple. Living in the same space, they are each lost in melancholic nostalgia for a past that was once warm and colourful. The piece poses a poignant question: In a world without enough light, where colour drains from our vision and the fire of connection is extinguished, how easy is it to fall into living only half a life?
