Mission of the Wise Youth
"Wise Youth" is a youth gambling prevention promotion plan funded by the Social Welfare Bureau. It aims to encourage young people to participate in more beneficial physical and mental activities during their spare time. Through various forms, it helps teenagers understand the harms of gambling addiction, highlights the importance of gambling prevention, instills correct values, and builds a positive and healthy image to promote the message of "not being obsessed with gambling" among peers.
Competition Details
- Objective: To provide a platform for young people to showcase their creativity through an open call for entries, designing novel and interesting works that help the public understand the importance of gambling prevention. The creative process also encourages participants to actively gather information on the theme, enhancing their awareness of the negative impacts of gambling.
- Target Participants: Macau residents aged 12-22.
- Awards:
- Champion: MOP 2,000 + trophy
- 1st Runner-up: MOP 1,500 + trophy
- 2nd Runner-up: MOP 1,000 + trophy
- Merit Award (3 winners): MOP 800 each + medal
- Submission Deadline: From now until April 15.
- Registration Method: Complete the online registration form / Visit the association in person to obtain a registration form.
- Submission Method: Email entries to the association's mailbox / Submit in person at the association.
- Judging Criteria: Entries will be scored based on relevance to the theme, creativity, educational value, and related descriptions.
Design Content
- Theme: "Prevent Gambling" (e.g., healthy living, positive life, harms of gambling, etc.).
- Designs should be creative, novel, and demonstrate creative thinking.
- The phrase "智醒不迷賭．人生更美好" (Wise and not obsessed with gambling, life is better) may be included.
Submission Specifications
- Image file format (JPG/TIF/PDF), resolution 300 dpi, dimensions 9.2 x 13 cm.
- Each participant may submit only one entry.
- Winners must submit an electronic file of their work (high-resolution image file) via email or burned onto a CD to the association.
Additional Notes
Winning entries will be printed as card cases for future promotional materials for the Wise Youth annual activities. The awards ceremony will be held on May 22, 2016, at the Macau Gambling Research Conference 2016 event.
