About the Competition

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Macau's water supply service under a concession model, Macao Water is organizing the "Preparing for the Future" Micro-film Making Competition. The event aims to encourage citizens to use cameras and cinematic techniques to illustrate the inseparable link between water and life, and to share how changing small daily habits can help conserve precious water resources.

Participation Method

Participants can use video cameras, digital cameras, or smartphones to shoot and produce a micro-film related to the competition theme. All submitted works will be evaluated by a Judging Committee.

Prizes

Student Group

• Champion: MOP 8,000 + Trophy
• First Runner-up: MOP 6,000 + Trophy
• Second Runner-up: MOP 4,000 + Trophy
• Merit Award (2 winners): Gift Bag + Certificate

Public Group

• Champion: MOP 12,000 + Trophy
• First Runner-up: MOP 9,000 + Trophy
• Second Runner-up: MOP 6,000 + Trophy
• Merit Award (2 winners): Gift Bag + Certificate

Special Awards (selected from both Student and Public Groups)

• Best Story Award (1 winner): MOP 3,000 + Trophy
• Most Creative Award (1 winner): MOP 3,000 + Trophy
• Facebook Popularity Award (1 winner): MOP 2,000 + Trophy

Important Dates

• Entry Submission Deadline: From April 29, 2014 to October 31, 2014. For mailed entries, the postmark date will be considered the submission date. Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Public Voting on Facebook: November 17, 2014 to November 28, 2014 (until 5:00 PM).
