Macau is a city of multicultural fusion, bringing together cultural customs from different regions. The third Sunday of January each year marks the traditional Philippine Sinulog Festival.
On the festival day, the Filipino community in Macau gathers at Tap Seac Square for various celebrations, including Filipino food stalls and stage performances. The most exciting highlight is the festive parade, which departs from Tap Seac Square and passes through nearby streets such as Rua de Manuel de Arriaga and Calcada da Igreja de S. Lazaro. Performers, with painted faces and dressed in colorful costumes, dance to offer a unique festive experience for residents and visitors.
