July Workshop Series
Join a series of creative and sustainable workshops at the Ox Warehouse this July. Each session focuses on upcycling and transforming everyday materials into new, useful, or artistic items.
Workshop 1: Treasure Playground – Upcycling Life's Discards
- Date: Saturday, July 13, 2013
- Time: 15:00–17:00
- Description: Gather forgotten and discarded items from daily life and transform them into new forms that shine again. Bring your own unused or rarely used household waste (e.g., old clothes, shoes, socks, bags, boxes, old books, bottles, jars, old or broken appliances you haven't thrown away) and give them a complete makeover. Explore their hidden potential and have fun with them.
- Instructor: Ka Ying
- Participants: One child (aged 3–12) plus one adult (parent or other relative).
- Quota: 10 pairs.
- Materials to Bring: Glue, tape, stapler, scissors, ruler, colored pens.
Workshop 2: "3D Eco Bag" Workshop
- Date: Saturday & Sunday, July 20–21, 2013
- Time: 14:30–17:00
- Description: Learn to create three-dimensional eco-friendly bags.
- Instructor: Lam Yuet Ngor (Lin Yue'e)
- Participants: Individuals aged 15 or above.
- Quota: 10 people.
- Materials to Bring: Sewing machine (must know how to use it), multiple plain fabric bags (can be different colors), scissors, a 12–18 inch ruler, thread.
Workshop 3: Easy Metal Craft
- Date: Saturday & Sunday, July 27–28, 2013
- Time: 15:00–17:00
- Description: Learn to discover and utilize common materials from daily life. This workshop focuses on how to process metal cans to obtain usable raw materials. It introduces the complementary use of various metal wires and explores the possibilities of creating movable shapes with light metals, discussing convenient handling and creative potential.
- Instructor: Jeff Wong
- Participants: Individuals aged 15 or above.
- Quota: 10 people.
- Materials to Bring: Some lightweight metals such as aluminum cans, iron wire, and other materials.
