Event Overview
Oxfam Towerrun is the first fundraising sports event in Macau organized by Oxfam Hong Kong. Participants take on the challenge of running up 1,298 steps from the ground floor of the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre to the main observation level on the 61st floor. The event aims to raise funds to support Oxfam's worldwide work in poverty alleviation, emergency relief, and advocacy.

- Individual Run (Men's and Women's categories)
- Team Relay Run (Teams of three, with relay points on the 27th and 54th floors)
Awards & Recognition
- Completion Certificate: All individuals and teams who complete the full race will receive a certificate and be ranked.
- Speed Awards: The fastest individuals (men and women) and teams in each category will receive Champion, Runner-up, and Second Runner-up awards.
- Fundraising Award: The individual or team that raises the most funds will receive the Top Fundraiser Award.
Important Notes
- Final times are determined by the official event record and are not subject to dispute.
- Participants must be physically fit to participate and must submit a declaration form by February 14, 2014.
Participant Guidelines
- Participants must collect their race bib at the registration desk by 7:00 AM on event day.
- All participants must wear the official race bib provided by Oxfam. Timing chips are attached to the bibs of individual runners and the first and third runners in the team relay.
- Participants must assemble and race as arranged by the organizers.
- Due to narrow staircases, runners must keep to the right side and not run in the center to avoid blocking others.
- To overtake, do so safely on the left side. Running side-by-side on the stairs is prohibited. Officials will monitor, and serious violations may lead to disqualification.
- The freight elevator is for official use and emergencies only. Participants feeling unwell must notify staff stationed on the stairs. Those wishing to withdraw must wait in a safe spot without obstructing others and will be escorted out after the race.
- Finishers must follow staff instructions to exit the tower top.
- Participants/teams must complete the race within 45 minutes. Those exceeding the time limit will be directed to take the elevator back to the tower plaza.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit. The declaration form can be downloaded from the official website.
About Macau Tower
At 338 meters tall, Macau Tower is the city's highest landmark. The main observation deck on the 61st floor (223 meters high) offers a panoramic view stretching up to 55 kilometers.
