Three wandering singers from Anhui meet on a mysterious island in the Pearl River Delta. One has only a voice, one only a mouth, and one only looks. They blindly step onto the stage of a beach singing competition, striving to win a MOP 3,000 prize from a group of young Macau businessmen. Their unusual combination catches the eye of a young businessman from a declining family, who repackages them as 'On Fire S.H.E.' Under the banner of pursuing dreams, he brings them to Macau to develop, propelling them onto the 'Golden Light Boulevard' and transforming them into spokespersons for the city.
In this small city of their dreams, where the wings of money and culture are fluttering, the three girls find themselves lost in a fog, yet they see a world invisible to the people of Macau.
This is the first cross-border creation by Macau's 'post-youth' theatre maverick, Big Bird (Xu Guoquan), following Seventy-Three and a Half Tenants and Is the End of the World Here?. Featuring the dazzling trio of Zhang Ruyi, Gao Kailin, and Liu Yongxian, along with alternative collaborations from multiple singers and dancers, the story uses the journey of three mainland girls chasing their dreams in Macau to offer a different perspective on the city's rapid social changes.
