Introduction

Organized by the Labour Affairs Bureau and Macao Polytechnic University, the "Occupational Safety and Health Mascot" Design Competition is an initiative to promote "Occupational Safety and Health" to all residents of Macao. This competition aims to encourage the public to use their creativity to design a mascot that reminds workers across various industries to pay attention to workplace safety, thereby helping to disseminate "Occupational Safety and Health" messages and widely publicize its importance.

Theme and Purpose of the "Occupational Safety and Health Mascot"

• Encourages public creation of a mascot with an interesting appearance and distinct personality to serve as a goodwill ambassador, reminding industry practitioners to always pay attention to work safety and prevent workplace accidents.
• Winning mascot designs may be produced into various types of promotional items to convey the message of workplace safety to the public.

Competition Categories and Eligibility

• Open Category
  • Individuals holding a Macao Resident Identity Card, aged 18 or above.
• Student Category (with two sub-categories):
  • Secondary School Group: Macao secondary school students holding a Macao Resident Identity Card.
  • Primary School Group: Macao primary school students holding a Macao Resident Identity Card.

Awards and Prizes

Each competition category awards 1 Champion, 1 First Runner-up, 1 Second Runner-up, 2 Merit Awards, and 1 Most Popular Work Award. Winners receive a trophy and a cash prize as follows:
